Cameron Parish awarded 97% of CPRA projects

The Coastal Restoration and Protection Authority (CPRA) has awarded $27.1 million to construct two projects in Cameron Parish. Parish Administrator Ryan Bourriaque said only four contracts were awarded statewide on Sept. 5, for a total of $28.6 million, giving Cameron Parish 97 percent of the funds for this round. The two contracts are for the Rockefeller Refuge Shoreline Protection Project and the Cameron Creole Watershed Marsh Creation Project (600 acres). Read More
