Attorney General issues opinion on school bond

Property owners in School District 4, Grand Lake, have had two years of relief from paying taxes on the Grand Lake Elementary School bond issue, but an Attorney General's opinion has brought that situation to an end. The opinion sought by District Attorney Jennifer Jones on behalf of the Board says that the bond issue tax "shall" be levied according to state law, so the Board on Monday voted to rescind an earlier levy of 0.00 mills, replacing it with 13.1 mills for 2015.
